This Privacy Policy explains how RealResumeAI — AI Resume + Cover Letter Builder ("RealResumeAI," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use realresumeai.com (the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

Account information. You create an account and sign in through Clerk, our authentication provider. This includes your email address and any profile details you choose to provide.

Resume and cover letter content. This is what you upload or type into the Service, such as:

• Personal information (name, contact details, location)
• Work history, education, skills, and achievements
• Any other details you choose to include

Job descriptions. This is the text of job postings you paste in so we can tailor your documents.

Payment information. Stripe handles payments. We do not receive or store your full card number. We may receive limited details such as your name, billing email, the plan you bought, the transaction status, and the last four digits of your card.

Usage, log, and technical data. This includes IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, the features you use, timestamps, and error logs.

Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies that the Service needs to work, such as keeping you logged in. Analytics tools: Google Analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Generate, edit, and store your resumes and cover letters
• Process payments and manage your plan
• Provide customer support and answer requests
• Keep the Service secure and prevent fraud and abuse
• Monitor, fix, and improve how the Service works
• Send service-related messages, such as receipts and account notices
• Comply with legal obligations

4. AI Processing

RealResumeAI uses AI models from Anthropic to generate content. When you use AI features, the relevant content is sent to Anthropic's API to produce the output you asked for. That content can include your resume details, cover letter inputs, and pasted job descriptions.

We do not use your data to train AI models. We use Anthropic's commercial API. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models by default. Anthropic may retain data for a limited period for safety and abuse monitoring.

We never sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. When We Share Information

We share information only:

• With the subprocessors listed above, as needed to provide the Service
• When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process
• To protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, ourselves, or others
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will tell you
• With your consent

8. Data Retention

We keep your account information, resume and cover letter content, job descriptions, and related data until you delete it or ask us to. While signed in, History lets you delete saved resumes and generations from our database. That does not delete your sign-in account or Stripe payment records. To delete the account as well, email theatlasdesk@mail.grokbot.com.

Payment records are kept as long as required by law and by our payment processor, Stripe, even after you request deletion of your other data.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You can request to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and personal information
• Get a copy of your content

To make a request, email theatlasdesk@mail.grokbot.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Saved resumes and generations can be deleted from the History page while you are signed in. Email us to delete the sign-in account itself.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and trusted infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended only for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, including children under 13 as covered by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe someone under 18 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. U.S. and State Privacy Rights

RealResumeAI is based in the United States and operated from North Carolina. Depending on where you live, your state's privacy laws may give you additional rights over your personal information. To exercise any rights you have, contact us at theatlasdesk@mail.grokbot.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

13. International Users

If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. Privacy laws there may differ from those in your country.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are material, we will give additional notice, such as by email or a notice in the Service.
