Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RealResumeAI — AI Resume + Cover Letter Builder at realresumeai.com (the "Service"). The Service is RealResumeAI, operated by Sean Morrow, an individual based in North Carolina, USA ("RealResumeAI," "we," "us," or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 or older.

3. Accounts

You create an account through Clerk, our authentication provider. You agree to:

• Provide accurate account information
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Take responsibility for all activity under your account
• Tell us promptly at theatlasdesk@mail.grokbot.com if you suspect unauthorized use

4. Free Tier

The free tier is one generation, shown on screen: one tailored resume, one cover letter, and an ATS match score. PDF download and a second generation require a paid plan (Starter or Pro). We may change or end the free tier in the future, with notice where reasonable.

5. Paid Plans and Payment

Plans. We offer paid plans at $19 and $49.

• $19 plan: adds 20 generations to your account's existing quota, with PDF export and generation history — billed one-time
• $49 plan: unlimited generations for your own job search, with PDF export and generation history — billed one-time. Unlimited does not include resale, bulk generation, or automated use.

Payments. Stripe processes payments. By buying a plan, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the applicable fees.

Taxes. Prices do not include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any taxes that apply.

Price changes. We may change prices. Changes do not affect purchases already made.

Auto-renewal and cancellation. All plans are one-time purchases that do not auto-renew, so there is nothing to cancel.

6. Refunds

If you are not happy with a purchase, you can get a full refund within 7 days of purchase, no questions asked. To request a refund, email theatlasdesk@mail.grokbot.com from the email address on your account and include the date of the purchase.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Create false or misleading credentials, work history, degrees, or other qualifications
• Upload or generate unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringing content
• Enter another person's personal information without their permission
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or try to extract the Service's source code or models
• Get around usage limits, security measures, or payment requirements
• Overload, disrupt, or abuse the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service to violate any law or any third party's rights

8. AI Output Disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate content. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate.

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all content for accuracy and truthfulness before using it. Do not submit a resume or cover letter that misrepresents your experience, skills, or qualifications.

We do not guarantee interviews, job offers, or any employment outcome.

9. Intellectual Property

Your content. You own the content you submit. Subject to applicable law, you also own the output the Service generates for you. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and transmit your content only as needed to provide the Service to you, including sending it to our service providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

Our Service. We own the Service, including its software, design, and the RealResumeAI name and brand. These Terms do not give you any rights to them except the right to use the Service as allowed here.

10. Feedback

If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Clerk, Vercel, Anthropic, and Stripe. Their own terms and policies may apply. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THIS INCLUDES IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RealResumeAI and Sean Morrow from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that arise from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may ask us to delete your account by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive. This includes intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law.

16. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts serving Brunswick County, North Carolina, and you consent to those courts' jurisdiction.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are material, we will give additional notice. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
